DC DC20-4A Self Contained Classic Ice Machine, 20kg/24hrs Output / 4kg Storage

20kg of cube ice a day, 4kg in the bin – the smallest machine in the DC classic range, and the one that fits where nothing else will.

At 355mm wide, 405mm deep and 595mm high it goes under a counter that was never designed to hold an ice machine.

Fitting it is the part most listings skip. The water inlet is 3/4in, the waste connection is 21mm, and the drain needs to sit at 145mm. Leave 200mm at the rear and 50mm at the sides and top – this is air cooled, and boxed in it will run hot and produce less than the badge says.

Rating is +10C to +43C ambient on a 13A single phase plug.

Warranty is 3 years parts only. Labour on a call-out is not covered, which is worth knowing before you compare it with a Hoshizaki on price alone.

Where it stops: a 4kg bin is about drinks service, not about filling ice wells before a shift. If you are already there, the DC25-6A doubles the bin for £150 more.
